*D.L. Hughley reached a breaking point on live television this morning while speaking about the back to back police killings of Alton Sterling in Louisiana and Philando Castile in Minnesota.
“Every black or brown parent that I know has to have a conversation with their kids about how to act around police,” the actor told CNN’s Chris Cuomo. “I don’t even go to sleep until my children come home…my grown children come home at night. I keep my clothes on in case my children need me in the middle of the night.”
Hughley, the father of two grown sons, continued: “I don’t understand. We love our children, we love our parents, our mothers, our fathers. They’re brutalized, and nobody says anything. It’s too much. It’s too much.”
