August 9, 2017- Akron, OH-Akron Summit Community Action, Inc. (ASCA) is purchasing a building in Barberton Ohio to serve 233 Head Start children in the Barberton area.
Nicholas (Nick) Browning, President
for Huntington Bank in Akron, presented Malcolm J. Costa, President and CEO of Akron Summit Community Action, Inc. with a $15,000 check to go
towards the purchase.

For 30 years, the Head Start in Barberton site was located at the Decker Family
Development Center on Brady Ave. Prior to that, Arnold School was home for Barberton Head
Start. Head Start has been in the Barberton Community since 1968.
Beginning this 2017-18 school year, the children located in Barberton will attend the Head Start Barberton site located at the former Woodford Elementary School at 315 East State St. Barberton, Ohio. The Barberton Head Start site will have 10 classrooms.
"We are grateful to Huntington Bank Foundation for their commitment to the community, but especially to Akron Summit Community Action, Inc. "said Costa, "Huntington Bank support demonstrates their commitment to address community needs.
