DWade’s Cousin’s Shooting Prompts Trump Tweet: ‘African-Americans will VOTE TRUMP!’

*To absolutely no one’s surprise, the opportunistic panderer Donald Trump is using the Chicago shooting on Friday of Dwyane Wade‘s cousin, Nykea Aldridge, as a reason to vote for him in November.

“Dwayne Wade’s cousin was just shot and killed walking her baby in Chicago. Just what I have been saying. African-Americans will VOTE TRUMP!” the Republican presidential candidate said in a tweet Saturday morning.

By the way, in the tweet, Trump misspelled Dwyane Wade’s name as “Dwayne Wade.”

A few hours after the tweet was posted, Trump deleted it and replaced it with an identical onet with Dwyane Wade’s name spelled properly.

As we reported earlier, Aldridge, 32, was shot and killed while pushing her baby in a stroller approximately a mile and half west of the University of Chicago. Aldridge was caught in the crossfire when two men attempted to kill a third man near Aldridge. Her child was not hurt in the shooting.

According to the Minneapolis Star Tribune, there were 441 homicides in Chicago between the start of the year and Aug. 21, a nearly 50 percent increase over the same period last year, police said. That’s also more than 80 percent higher than at the same point in 2014, when the city ended the year with just over 400 homicides — the least in a half-century.

The article also points out that many of the neighborhoods on the city’s South and West sides where the violence is concentrated struggle with gang membership and high unemployment and poverty rates.

Meanwhile, several hours after his initial tweet, after getting royally roasted on social media, Trump finally tweeted condolences to Dwyane Wade and his family.
