This moratorium does not affect the ability of patients to legally use medical marijuana in Akron with a physician recommendation." The City of Akron is exercising its authority under Ohio Revised Code Section 3796.29. In addition, the Mayor and his administration are showing their dedication and responsiveness to the citizens of Akron by taking additional time to undertake a review of the applicable law and formulate a local response to the Ohio Medical Marijuana Law, with respect to zoning, licensing and other local regulation of medical marijuana.
