MALIA OBAMA’S SECRET SERVICE NABS MAN WHO CRASHED HER JOB WITH MARRIAGE PROPOSAL
A man who showed up at Malia Obama’s internship and asked her hand in marriage was quickly taken into custody by her Secret Service agents because of his shaky track record with the White House.
According to the New York Daily News, law enforcement sources say 30-year-old Jair Nilton Cardoso was detained after he showed up on the fourth floor of the Weinstein Company offices in Manhattan on April 10 and “loudly begged her to marry him,” sources said.
Cardoso held a sign against an office window that proposed marriage to the former First Daughter. Agents shooed him away, only for Cardoso to return two days later outside of a building in the West Village where she also interns, sources said. This time the agents recognized him as someone who had tried to break into the White House multiple times.
After telling him to leave her alone, agents interviewed Cardoso at his Brooklyn apartment and determined he needed psychiatric evaluation. They took him to a hospital and on Tuesday reported him to the police. Cops are now mulling whether to file stalking or harassment charges against him..
