The Annual Ace and Dee's Black History Extravaganza 2018

On Feb 23rd, we held our annual black history event on Akron's west-side at The Thai Soul-Fusion Grill. At this time I would like to shout out all who took the time to dress in all black (which was 99.9% of the crowd). That's right, only one person showed up without wearing all black. Even though she wasn't rocking all black she still looked amazing.
I also would like to thank all of our vendors and business owners that spoke on the stage promoting their businesses. Big shout out to my sista Kim from Kim's Kloset, Nikki Swift from Vivid Solution Design Studio, Kofi Khemet, sista Yolanda and everyone else that represented.
I would like to thank all of the featured guest speakers. Big ups to J-Black for always being exciting and engaging. The brotha had me ready to run through a wall. My brotha Rich P for always supporting our movement and repping the luv. Sisita Bobbi and brotha Shawn from Cloud 9 Herbal Gallery for supporting and sharing that much needed word about (us as a people healing our temples/bodies.) Thanks to Big Ra for always repping and supporting your brotha. And last but not least I have to say thank you to brotha Pershawn for working the program for me and Char Johnson for helping out with the decorations.
To our Keynote speakers Pastor Ukali White and College professor Debra Calhoun. We appreciate your time and efforts for coming out and celebrating with us this year. Personally speaking I wanna tell everyone that I have had one on one conversations with these two often. And ever-time we talk I feel truly educated and blessed. It is my hope that those who attended got fed more than just some good event food-cooking by Chef Tawon Burton. Until next time have some fun and get something done.
