DALLAS COP AMBER GUYGER FIRED FOR KILLING BOTHAM SHEM JEAN! (VIDEO REPORT)
Well now, here’s the news a lot of folks have been waiting for. Here it is straight, no chaser. Amber Guyger, the Dallas police officer arrested for manslaughter after shooting and killing her neighbor in his apartment, has been fired.
As we reported, Guyger fatally shot her downstairs neighbor, Botham Shem Jean, earlier this month in HISapartment. In addition to being charged with manslaughter, the shooting triggered an internal affairs investigation.
The Dallas Police Department says it has determined Guyger engaged in “adverse conduct” and she was officially fired Monday morning. That’s obviously a change of strategy since last week when the chief of police, Rene Hall, insisted she couldn’t axe Guyger because of an on-going investigation by the Texas Rangers. (More on that below.)
In any event, after her arrest, Guyger told investigators she had come home at the end of her shift on September 6, and entered what she believed was her apartment. Guyger claims she walked inside, saw someone she thought was a burglar, drew her gun and opened fire.
