Better Together Book Bag Giveaway Returns to House Three Thirty

Families preparing for the new school year will have an opportunity to receive school supplies and connect with valuable community resources during the Better Together Book Bag Giveaway on Wednesday, August 6, at House Three Thirty, 532 W. Market St. in Akron 12pm-6pm.

Presented by Chase Bank, Big Brothers Big Sisters, the I PROMISE School, and the Educational Empowerment Group, the annual event aims to help students start the school year with the tools they need to succeed while connecting families with organizations that provide year-round support.

Last year's giveaway drew hundreds of families and featured a wide variety of community vendors, outreach programs, and nonprofit organizations offering information, resources, and services. Beyond distributing book bags and school supplies, the event created an opportunity for families to learn about programs designed to support education, health, and overall well-being.

Organizers expect this year's event to build on that success. In addition to free book bags for eligible students, attendees can visit resource tables, meet representatives from local organizations, and discover programs available throughout the Akron community.

The Better Together Book Bag Giveaway continues to bring together businesses, schools, and nonprofit organizations with a shared mission of ensuring local students are prepared for the classroom and that families know where to turn for support beyond the first day of school.
