Chicago Woman Arrested After Sharing Her Applebee’s ‘All You Can Eat’ Meal
*An incident at Applebee’s Bar & Grill in Portage, Indiana, on August 2nd, escalated when a customer, Shawneesha Cobbs from Chicago, misunderstood the restaurant’s “All You Can Eat” policy.
The Daily Mail reported that the deal includes unlimited boneless wings, shrimp, or riblets, along with fries. Cobb ordered two of these specials and shared them with everyone at her table. She was informed by the manager that the deal was per person, requiring each to pay $15.99. The fine print on Applebee’s website reportedly states: “All You Can Eat” order is only “valid per person, per order. No sharing.”
Cobbs wasn’t aware of this rule and the misunderstanding led to a heated argument, during which she caused a scene, shouting at other customers, according to Region News Source.
Wide Open Country reports that Cobbs claimed the manager was unprofessional toward her during the verbal altercation, causing Cobbs to cause a wild scene. Police were called in response to the woman’s disruptive outburst. Despite warnings from police to calm down, Cobbs continued to wild out over the “All You Can Eat” policy, resulting in her arrest for disorderly conduct and being taken to Porter County Jail.
According to The Western Journal, when the drama cooled down, Cobb’s group paid for the meal in full.
