City of Akron Offices Closed for Business on Monday, October 13 in Observance of Italian-American Heritage and Culture Day

All municipal offices will be closed on Monday, October 13, 2025, in observance of Italian-American Heritage and Culture Day. On June 29, 2020, Akron City Council passed Resolution No. 184-2020 recognizing and declaring the second Monday in October as Italian-American Heritage and Culture Day in the City of Akron to honor the history, culture, and contributions of the Italian-American Community to Akron and Summit County. Trash/recycle collections will continue as usual for the week of October 13.
