City Of Akron To Host Two Informational Sessions Regarding Federal American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) F
Akron, Ohio, October 14, 2021 — Akron Mayor Dan Horrigan and City Council leadership have announced plans for the City of Akron to host two informational sessions for the public to learn about the funds the City of Akron will receive under the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA), and invest in the areas of community and youth violence prevention, housing, public utility support, local economic recovery, parks and public spaces, access to healthcare and social services, and budget stabilization.
Akron residents and stakeholders are invited to attend one of two free informational sessions:

Both events will also be livestreamed at www.youtube.com/akroncitycouncil. Each virtual one-hour session will include a presentation by the City, as well as a question and answer session for members of the public participating in the Zoom webinar.
The City has also created a simple form to accept ideas for proposed projects or programs that may be eligible for ARPA funding, which is available at www.akronohio.gov/ARPA.
