Mayor Horrigan And Lock 3 Announce 2022 Summer Event Schedule
Akron, Ohio, April 25, 2022 — The City of Akron’s Lock 3, Akron’s “Central Park,” is thrilled to announce the beginning of its 2022 spring and summer season on the iconic Cleveland Clinic Akron General Stage. Returning favorites include the Rib, White, and Blue Festival on 4th of July weekend, the 73rd Annual Italian American Festival, and Akron Pizza Fest.
“I can’t wait for some of Akron’s favorites to return to Lock 3 this summer,” said Mayor Horrigan. “From our festivals to additional concerts to a variety of community events, and more, we’re excited to offer fun options for all Akronites to enjoy. Make sure to mark your calendars now and we’ll see you down at Lock 3.”

Since opening in 2003, Lock 3 has hosted more than four million visitors. On April 15, the City and Lock 3 announced the Rock the Lock concert series which is set to open its season on Friday, May 27 with Into the Blue ELO Tribute with Sunflurry. Gospel Sundays
Enjoy local gospel sounds on the banks of Lock 4. Located next to Lock 3 and behind the Akron Civic Theatre. Free Admission. 4-6pm
