NFL & SB MVP Patrick Mahomes Leads Chiefs to 38-35 Win Over Eagles



The Kansas City Chiefs have won their second Super Bowl in the past four seasons, downing the Philadelphia Eagles 38-35 Sunday at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona.

NFL MVP Patrick Mahomes appeared to overcome re-aggravating his ankle injury in the first half, rallying the Chiefs in the second to a victory that puts the team in a “dynasty” conversation.

The Chiefs also won the Super Bowl in 2020 and reached the title game in 2021.

Mahomes threw three touchdown passes to three receivers, Isiah Pacheco ran for one score and linebacker Nick Bolton scored on a fumble return. Kicker Harrison Butker made the winning 27-yard field goal with eight seconds remaining


Wait. There’s more! Patrick Mahomes is headed to Disney World ’cause he was also named Super Bowl LVII’s Most Valuable Player on Sunday, reports NFL.com.

That means Mahomes is the first player to take home Associated Press NFL MVP and Super Bowl MVP in the same season this century.
