For nearly two years, the City of Akron, like every city across the world has been dealing with an outbreak of COVID-19. As we enter 2022, the virus is once again hitting our community and hospital systems hard. We urge our residents to get vaccinated if they haven't already, wear a mask in public places, stay home if they aren't feeling ill, and continue frequent hand washing and social distancing.
